The Directors
Matthew and Katharine Kemp
Leaping Hare Renewables was founded in 2020 by Matthew and Katharine Kemp to offer high quality, future proofed installations that harness innovation. Leaping Hare Renewables install renewable energy and heating systems for homes and businesses in Norfolk, Suffolk and surrounding counties. We design and install solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers and sustainable heating and hot water systems that work seamlessly together.
We began our journey as electrical contractors and this remains at the heart of our business; we are experts in the electrification of homes and businesses as we move towards a cleaner, greener and more sustainable way of powering and heating homes and businesses in the UK.
We believe that we have a responsibility to make use of sustainable energy and heating solutions, and we make this transition simple for our customers: bringing together a range of technologies to completely decarbonise properties.

The Technical Team
Matthew & Christian
Matthew leads the electrical team and Christian is our plumbing and heating engineer. They have almost 50 years of technical experience between them.
Matthew began his career as an engineer and Geophysicist in 1996. Upon graduating from St Andrews University, he embarked on projects that included installing renewable energy systems in the field globally. He is a highly skilled Electrician and Engineer with an eye for detail. He oversees all installations and ensures the highest standards are met at all times.
Christian has worked for British Gas and is a highly skilled heating engineer. His immaculate installation of sustainable heating solutions is essential to the company’s goal of offering complete transformations to decarbonise existing properties. Most importantly Matthew and Christian make that transition easy for the customer by integrating a range of products that ‘play nicely’ together.
The Apprentices
Hope & Will
We are passionate about empowering the next generation of renewable energy installers and sustainable heating engineers. Hope and Will work with us four days a week and spend one day at College of West Anglia.
They are hard working, polite and increasingly capable and knowledgeable. We are delighted to have them on the team.

Chris Sopp provide all of our scaffolding. His team are polite and reliable and we love working with them. We often get compliments for the polite and efficient work of the his team. Chris Sopp Scaffolding id one of only three scaffolding companies to be awarded a Royal warrant by the late Queen Elizabeth.
