We feel so privileged to have been invited to the Octopus Trusted Partners Awards on Thursday as Finalists in two categories!
The Awards
“The awards celebrate the exceptional companies installing heat pumps, solar panels and other clean technologies for Octopus Energy customers when Octopus is unable to. It was an evening that brought together the best and brightest in the industry to recognise outstanding contributions to decarbonisation, innovation and customer service.” Well done to Green Squirel Energy for taking the to gong/octopus tentacle. We met the guys after and they were a thoroughly nice bunch!
Inspirational
Such an inspiring and egalitarian event, with senior leaders sat amongst us at the tables sharing encouragement, experience of the the market and innovative developments. We were lucky enough to be sat with Jon Szymik, CEO of Octopus Energy Services who has encouraged us to progress with new products with confidence.
Peaceful Progress
The event has crystallised many thoughts and feelings about the direction of the business for us, and listening to Greg Jackson, founder and CEO speak about the passion he has for decarbonisation of the energy market to create an industry that no-one goes to war over. We feel very much the same; Matthew’s background as a Geophysicist took him to countries where conflict occurred over resources. We met in education, where both of us sought to challenge young people to think for themselves and ask the question ‘why?’. We hope to see a world where every home is warm, healthy and sustainable and we are delighted to be trusted partners with a company that has progress and peace at it’s heart.
It was amazing to be finalists this year and some very deserving companies took the prizes. We are striving to be the best in the an industry by building trust and harnessing innovation to help our customers live more sustainably and ultimately peacefully.
A huge thank you to Octopus for hosting us! We are already looking forward to next year and going after that top gong! Watch out Green Squirrel, Leaping Hare is on your tail!
